BECKERSBERG MASTERPLAN

The Masterplan Beckersberg is a plan to redefine experience and place of the regional community and many events. Through the regeneration process of Beckersberg Natural Culture Park located near Hamburg, the goal of this masterplan is to establish a comprehensive developmental plan based on the linkage between the Henstedt and Ulzburg areas around the target site. First, Beckersberg Park’s promenade was reorganized so that residents in the eastern and western areas could easily access. Accordingly, visitors can naturally utilize the facilities of lake park, guesthouse, beer garden, memorial park, observatory, and biotope areas. Besides, the new urban axis of regional community is possible to be formed through the additional multi-purpose hall, local square, and amusement facilities, along with existing facilities of the target area which are community centre, high school, and youth cultural centre. Finally, the masterplan is presented to develop eco-friendly residential complexes on the small golf course on the west side of the target site and the unused field located in the Beckersberg street. Comprehensively, the masterplan including architectural strategies is formulated toward the future development of Henstedt-Ulzburg area, as well as, the readjustment of external space at present.
